I received a Bachelors of Arts in English/Secondary Education from North Georgia College.  I began my teaching career working with a K-12 Challenge program in Union County.  After finishing my Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia I spent four years working with our local Regional Education Service Agency as a psychometrist diagnosing children with learning and/or behavioral difficulties.  I later completed a Specialist Degree through Lincoln Memorial University.  The majority of my classroom experience has been with Middle Grades.

I am grateful to have learned so much working with other teachers and administrators in Gilmer County.  They were excellent mentors!

I am very excited about having the opportunity to work with Mary and her staff at NGCA.  I am so impressed by the quality of the curriculum they offer and the wonderful learning environment that seeks to meet the needs of the whole child, mental, physical and spiritual.
