8/12/2010 - Open House August 16th 5:30pm

Welcome Back,

•August 16- Orientation 5:30 in the gym, mandatory for all students and at least one parent must attend
Back to School BBQ- 6:15
Open House- 7:00-8:00
•August 18- First Day of school. Doors are open for drop off at 7:30am for no additional charge.

Classes begin at:8:10am grades 6-12 **
8:20am grades K2-5
**
Dismissal is from 3:35pm through 3:50pm **
•After Care is from 3:50pm-5:30pm for an additional $5.00 per child (any child not picked up by 3:50 is automatically placed in After Care)

3/26/2010 - ACSI Science Fair

Friday, March 26, 2010, NGCA is pleased to host the ACSI 3-12th grades Science Fair. If you would like to see the exhibits, please call the school office for viewing times.

3/22/2010 - Family Night at IHOP

We invite one and all to dine at the Ellijay, IHOP between 6-8pm on Monday, March 22, 2010. IHOP is graciously donating 10% of the sales during that time period to NGCA. Please come, invite friends, encourage church friends, everyone to come out and help support our school.

3/19/2010 - Family Sock Hop

NGCA is hosting a Family Sock Hop
Friday, March 19th 6:00PM-8:00PM
$15.00 per family (refreshments provided)

50's attire encouraged, but not required.

White socks are mandatory for dancing!!!

2/26/2010 - 5th-8th ACSI Spelling Bee

Friday, February 26, 2010, NGCA is pleased to host the ACSI 5-8th grade regional Spelling Bee. We are expecting 5-6 other Christian schools from the Atlanta area to participate.

2/25/2010 - Helping Haiti

During March, their are two boxes in the gymnasium that NGCA is endeavoring to fill with first aid and medical supplies for the people of Haiti. Please help us in this effort.

2/25/2010 - Math Olympics

On Monday, February 22, fifteen students represented NGCA at the ACSI Math Olympics held at Dominion Christian School in Marietta, GA. All of the students received high praise for their efforts and excellent representation of the school. Lauren (5th) place 5th in computation, Laney (6th) placed 1st in computation, and Melody (8th) placed first in computation. Both Laney and Melody received blue ribbons for their top honors.
Congratulations to these three young ladies!

2/25/2010 - Robotics Club going to the World Championships

February 20, 2010, the NGCA Robotics Club "Mariners 710" won the Inspire Award at the Georgia State Championships held at Southern Polytechnic University in Marietta, GA. The Inspire Award is the highest achievement award given to the team that best exemplifies the attitudes, goals, and ambitions of the FIRST challenge. Mariners 710 with Aubrey Jarvis (12th) as captain, achieved this prestigious award by continuing on in the competition through adversity.
Congratulations to our team! Mariners710 will continue on to the World Championship at the Georgia Dome in Apri.

1/25/2010 - Future City Competition State Champs!

On January 23, 2010, NGCA sent three teams to the Future City Competition at Southern Polytechnical University in Marietta, GA. Our teams competed against teams from public and private schools around the state. Our sixth grade team, Hannah Love, Laney Henson, and Dylana Robinson, placed FIRST in the state. Congratulations to the girls and their teacher Mrs. Lynn Martin. You can see the picture of all three teams under the events tab.
