5/22 - Honors Night

Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the school gymnasium, the Administration, Faculty, and Staff will be honoring the NGCA students for their accomplishments during the school year.
Everyone is invited.

5/22 - Used Uniform Sale

Used uniforms will be sold in the gym from 3:00 to 5:30 pm. If you are planning to donate or resell some of your students' uniforms, please have them on hangers and tagged with the school tag. We would need to have all resale items in the school office by noon to have everything organized by the sale at 3:00.

5/21 - Uniform Depot

Uniform Depot will be at NGCA on May 21st from noon to 6:00pm to size and fit students. Any items bought from them at that time will be 20% off the regular price. Uniform Depot is also offering a few new styles for parents and students to consider.

5/20 - Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten graduation for Mrs. Watkins' class is Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 7:00 pm in the gymnasium. Everyone is invited.

5/15 - Upscale Resale Event

All donations now accepted. On May 15, Our Upscale Resale Event will be open to current NGCA families until 5:30 pm. Then on May 16, the Event will be open to the public.
Monies from the Event will start up our new Student Activity Fund. This fund will help us to keep down the cost of the field trips or provide activity money for the students throughout the 2008-2009.

4/29 - Spring Pictures

Spring Pictures will be taken on April 29th. Students may wear free dress and bring and item to hold or use in their picture. If it rains, the pictures will be done on May 1st.
Sibling pictures can also be taken.

4/10 - NGCA Gala and Auction

We are approaching an exciting and important event, our second annual Gala and Auction Fundraiser! Our guest speaker this year is Ben Utecht, of the NFL's Idianapolis Colts. This special evening will also include dinner, live and silent actions, and special entertainment.

The Gala will be held on Thursday, April 10th at Appalachain Technical College in Jasper at 6:00pm.

Everyone is invited! The Gala and Auction is a fundraising event intended to partner with buisnesses and individuals in and around our community, as well as to be enjoyed by all of our NGCA families. For More information and ticket prices please call 706-635-6422.

3/20 - Parent/Teacher Conferences

March 20th is a 1/2 day of school for students, 8:30am - 12:00pm. Parent/Teacher conferences are from 1:00pm-3:30pm. After School Care is available till 5:30 if needed. Please call the school office to schedule your appointment today at 706-635-6422.

2/27 - Celebrity Reader Day!

NGCA is hosting their third annual Celebrity Reader Day. Community members, friends, family, county officials, and more have been invited to come read to our students. We are excited to have these "celebrities" share their love of reading with the students.

2/22 - Open Enrollment

NGCA has opened enrollment for new students for the coming school year. The Lord is blessing and the school is growing. Call for an appointment or drop in and take a tour of the school. Find out if this would be where the Lord would desire to have your children in school. We look forward to meeting you and sharing the vision of our school and school family.

2/9 - Father-Daughter Valentine Dance

February 9th, 2008 from 7 PM to 10 PM, located in our school gym, we will be hosting a Father-Daughter Dance for fathers and daughters of all
ages. The price for admission is $20.00 per couple and $5.00 for each additional father or daughter. Tickets will be sold at the door. This will be your night to dress up, put on your dancing shoes, and spend some special time with your father or daughter. Hor D'Oeures, desserts
and punch will be served along with the opportunity to have your picture taken. Photo packages will be available for order as well. Call the school office at 706-635-6422 with any questions. We hope to see you there!!!

2/2 - Quail Hunt

The Quail Hunt at Red Oak Plantation has been rescheduled for February 2, 2008 due to weather conditions.

1/21 - Change The World - Coin Cans

Change the world coin collection project will run from January 16 - February 28th. The goal is to collect one million coins. The money raised will go toward stage and gym equipment and helps change the lives of students here at NGCA. The entire school is broken down into 2 teams, the Green Team and the Gold Team. The winning team gets to pick a member of the faculty to kiss a live pig. WOW!!!

1/21 - Winter Weather Watch

NGCA will follow the same schedule as the Gilmer County Schools for inclement weather. Please call 706-276-SNOW(7669) for updates.

1/21 - Pre-School

Pre-school is now licensed for all day!!!

From 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM with aftercare available until 5:30 PM. Parents or grandparents that refer a family for the full day program receive $100 after the new family is accepted and has enrolled their child. Call the office for more details 706-635-6422.

12/21 - Day of Festivities

Friday, December 21, 2007, will be a half day of festivities celebrating God's gift of His Son Jesus to us. Plan to share in the celebration!

12/20 - NGCA Christmas Program

Everyone is invited to the Christmas program presented by the NGCA students on December 20, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. We hope you will plan to attend and see this wonderful message of God's perfect gift, His Son.

12/7 - First Annual NGCA Book Fair

FIRST ANNUAL NGCA BOOK FAIR!

NGCA"s first annual book fair will beign on December 7, 2007, at 8:00 a.m. in the Media Center. Parents are invited to come for a first peek at the books for sale. There will be books for all ages that will make wonderful gifts for Christmas.
(Books may also be bought and donated as a gift to our school library. Bookplates will be attached to donated books in order to recognize the donor and year of donation.)

Students are also welcome at the first peek if accompanied by an adult. During the day on 12/7, the students will be invited to come look at the book fair and complete a wish list of books they like and the cost. The wish lists will come home that same day. On Monday, December 10 at 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Friday December 14th at noon, the book fair will be open for business for anyone to purchase books. Please feel free to invite grandparents, friends, and neighbors to take advantage of this opportunity to buy great books.

Our school will be reimbursed with books for the profit of the book sale.
This is a great way to fill our library with wonderful books for our students. Let's work together to make it a great sale!
